Changed to WordPress

I’ve changed the Stewardship Learning website to WordPress. It was a while in transition and so the few of you that ever come looking, sorry about the inconvenience. I’m more focused on writing a blog now than before, so this change makes sense. But I’ll be building it up gradually so be patient. I’ll be trying to add a thing or two every day or at least a couple of times every week.

So, through Jane’s Elearning Pick of the Day, I found www.xtranormal.com, a web tool for making little video clips of animated people. They say, “If you can type, you can make a movie. At xtranormal write and direct your own 3-D movies directly in your web browser. Xtranormal offers a wide variety of characters, sets, and animations that you can easily add to any movie you create. Cast your actors, write your script, and share your movie with your friends and family. And the best part is, you don’t need a huge budget or a film crew.”

I spent about 40 minutes making this one, called “Off to the Jungle!” It took several minutes to render it on the website before it was available. Matter of fact, while I’m typing this, I’m waiting for it to finish up. Hope it’s not long. My movie is pretty lame, but I had fun making it. Not a lot of thought went into it, obviously. But I can imagine several situations in learning environments that a little 3D movie clip could be useful. Can you?
